Guest
Hi We are doing abit of a tour around Norfolk in november and have researched the places we would like to visit,we are looking at The Lighthouse at Cley which is supposed to have a good restaurant too,Slipway cottage in Blakeney (abit torn between Cley and Blakeney to be honest),then we would like 1 or 2 nights in Horning as it looks beautiful but we are drawing a complete blank accomodation wise, all we can find is a chain pub and all the lovely cottages by the water are just let by the week,I googled the Ferry Inn as it looked nice and saw it has been closed, feel like we just aren't getting anywhere with Horning,we want somewhere very pretty with abit of ambiance. After Horning we have booked a lovely cottage in Winterton on sea and then plan on finnishing off at The Hoste Arms in Burnham Market as a treat to round off the holiday on our way back up.Any thoughts on all this from people in the know would be most appreciated, thanks
NorfolkNog
Hi and Welcome The Ferry is open again but doesn't do accommodation. However I think the Swan does, have you tried them????
goodall_m1
Welcome aboard. If all else fails why not hire a boat for a couple of nights and see some of the Broads from the water? In November you could probably find a berth on Horning Staithe, or book a mooring outside the New Inn. Freedom Boating Holidays operate in the "off season", are based in Horning, and many of their boats are "dog friendly" Unlike most of the yards they are very flexible as to start day, length of hire etc. Here is the link to their web-site http://www.freedomboatingholidays.co.uk in case you want to investigate further.
