HakunaMatata
Hi Boater my sons got aware that we are spending a fortnight on the broads in a Boat. Now a question is coming up about TV over there, over here is Germany. The only thing i know about british Television, that there is a different in sending pictures and sound compaired to Germany. That means to me i had to buy a TV in the UK. A TV which can handle 12 Volts DC. Are any suggestions for getting a good one, with wifi, HDMI ? And the main thing where can i get such a miracle wonder near the Broads?
BroadScot
Don't spend a lot on a TV the signal although much improved since went digital, but a picture can be had now in most areas, not all though. The model that Herbert Woods uses on their hire craft is good, I have used it in the past. It's the arial that is most important I think! Iain
Baitrunner
Agree with Iain. But you dont need an expensive aerial, some of the cheaper ones can work very well compared to a posh omnidirectional one. I have never really used 12vTVs and worried about battery drain. Obviously 240v ones are only any use if you can get hooked up on leccy or have a generator (to annoy the neighbours with). We don't bother with ours.
