On a lighter note, disband the BA, put Timbo in charge with his little pointed trowel, then I am sure EVERYONE would get the point !

I can tell you, Iain, that a past member of the Authority, regretfully now deceased, told me that he was the best of a poor bunch. Effectively, it would appear, that he got the job because no one better suited applied. The sad thing is that a number of highly suited members of staff soon moved on for various reasons. Legend has that anyone who knew more about the Broads than he did was made to feel unwelcome. It was also often said that anyone who knew anything about the Broads needn't apply for a job.
That is very sad JM. Decades of wasted opportunity. But, answers many other questions from the past and present.

EDP Front page Headline...... BA chief is a TOWN PLANNER !....
Know wonder the moorings are disappearing, he is only qualified to design CAR PARKS !!
Who gave this Planner the job in the first place? It really does beggar belief!

It has the slight feel of a "Chain posting" to me, or a cheap trick for advertising the Ferry Inn. It might of course be genuine, in which case, good luck to them.
It looks genuine enough MM, my only concern was why on Pink background paper?

The reason I was hoping the Ex-pilot was online, his note book will have different heights from the ones shown in brochures.

To prosecute or not really isn't for us to decide, surely.
I could not agree more JM. We, as in forum members, are but at the guessing game. Once again I thank JM for keeping us informed. Perhaps we should leave it at that folks.

Just my view but for what it's worth, I think Salhouse broad is a fine place to moor. A lot of money has been spent on facilities, namely water. which must have cost a fortune to put in. There has been much work done on the landscaping and walkways, making it one of the most attractive broads in the northern region. The deeper moorings are on the western end of the broad, plenty deep enough for most craft.
As I said, just my view but that's how I see it.
It is ALSO the moorings for the NBN Spring Meet !!!

Although a little early for remembrance time, I thought I would post this link to a local woodland in Ayr not far from Alloway. http://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/images/gallery/?page=1&subpage=remembrancewoodland

We stopped at Harvey Eastwoods quite often to top up water, as it was just off the main river. Always fancied Santa Christina to hire from there, but never did !
