We saw that this morning but it was gone when we came home
past there at about 11.30ish. He/she must have been going some!

Sorry MM, but that is not overstated at all!
I agree with Grainside. We live in Stamford, Lincolnshire, and it is
much the same as Boston. Walking down the street, it seems that
about 70% of the spoken word is in a foreign language. It's no
longer the town we knew and as such we will be moving this year.
I could add a lot more but would probably get modded......
Sorry for keeping this off topic...

Here's a question for you all. Maybe someone can answer it
JP proclaimed that the 'new' toll structure would encourage
more small boats to The Broads with the newer, lower tolls
for that catagory. Did that happen or, dare I say it, that was
just another of his 'smoke screens' to 'justify' the increases
for the majority of us? Anyone know the numbers for each?

All Abroad stopped the business a few months ago I believe.
Id'e ask Bridgecraft for a recommended company.

Make 'um wait! Why should they get the interest on 'Our' money.
For the little interest we get, I'm having it! (Not them Pike! )
Besides, she's still in the workshops and likely to be for a few weeks yet

Anyone know how much Silver Cloud was last year please?
This year same model boat is £503.12 (Just curious as to the price hike)

For those of us that keep an eye on nature, the Skylark at the back of our house has now started his singing, the Blackbirds are fighting over who's garden it is and some of the Cuckoo's have already started their migration back to the UK a few weeks early:-
The indications of an early spring are there but there's still time for a brief cold spell.

There is a lot that I could say but dare not!!
Trust JP? Never
Just think of how he raised our tolls the last time.....
"Some will pay less and some will pay more" Guess which raised the most income?

There was a Peregrine on there earlier today but the camera needs
swivelling to the right a bit as you could only see half of the bird.

They have a trusty 23 for sale outside their works in Wroxham.
It wasn't there yesterday when we went by. The place looked deserted.

He seems to be stuck near Rockland. I would have thought he would be 'in signal' at Brundall by now.
Nothing from the AIS for 30 mins.

WRC has a fair covering of SNOW........ How's it up there towards Brundall?

Seems to be on the waiting pontoon now.

So what about the Stag/Hen party who arrive with boxes of beer
on trolleys from Roys/Lathams and may already have had a few
whilst awaiting the boat's readiness? Dancing on the cabin roofs
as soon as they arrive and causing mayhem because they can't
moor outside the pub due to the moorings being full already. One
guy walked out the rear door of their hire boat for a 'jimmy riddle'
and went straight into the river and couldn't get out because he was
so pi**ed. If it hadn't been for friends of ours being on their boat, he
would have drowned. He did stop breathing after he was rescued but
fortunately the paramedics had arrived by then. This is not an isolated
incidence either, having witnessed several of those over the last few
years, but it is OK to hire to these people? I know which I think are safer.
