  1. We will be up to 'My Panache' on Saturday 21st-my birthday.  Will stay at Beccles overnight.  Sunday morning will be sobered up (maybe!) and booked into WRC for the night.  Monday booked into Broadland Holiday Village, first time but been meaning to give it a try for a while. Tuesday, probably Loddon, who knows from there!  Forum flag will be flying aloft, except for Somerleyton and Reedham bridges!  Give us a wave if you see us.  Happy sailing!  Regards Alan and Eve. ice slice  :wave

  2. That takes me back!  River Ant was the first boat I actually

booked back when I was 18, and thats now a bloody long

time ago!!  I remember collecting the boat and going under

Acle bridge and some guy was waving to me, I waved back

but he was actually telling me to slow down.  A lesson

learnt and remembered.  Alan  :norty:  :wave

  3. I needed to get some info on a product yesterday.  I e mailed Brian Wards with my question.  Within 10 minutes Tanya e mailed back the answer. I telephoned my order through to Tanya, received my Forum discount and paid by debit card.  The item arrived today at 11.15am. I really dont think you can get better service than this!  Thanks.  Regards Alan.  ice slice  :wave

  4. Grace. I seem to remember Sluice Weir lock up from Yalding twds Tonbridge was the most off putting-its a real biggy, but as you get twds Tonbridge they are not too bad.  We found the biggest problem were the boats that just followed you and pulled in behind and didn't offer any help, used to make me quite stroppy at times!! Regards Alan.  cheersbar  :wave

  5. Grace, as I said its been quite a few years since we were on the Medway (bloody locks!) and we were actually moored at Bridge Boatyard there.  At that time I don't recall there being any public moorings but Dave Paine who had the yard at the time would let you moor there for a 'consideration' if there was a space available!!  Might be worth giving the yard a ring?  The other place to consider is the town quay in Maidstone, lots of pubs near there!  Regards Alan  cheersbar  :wave

  6. Thank you all for the info!  This is in fact our third Seamaster 30.  All of them have been moved to the 'Broads'.  Our first was factory built in the early 70's

and had the nav. lights in boxes on the wheelhouse roof and we took her through a couple of times at low water but this was probably about 15 years ago and I wonder whether the river is higher now due to global warming etc?  Regards Alan.  cheersbar  :wave

  7. Gracie.  When we were moored at East Farleigh some years ago our local was the Victory Inn which is just past the railway station and a few minutes walk from the river.  In those days they served good food and great beer!!  Not been there for a number of years so cannot comment on what its like now!  Enjoy.  Regards Alan.   cheersbar  :wave
