I can understand and totally agree.
But, why did they let Indy book the lift at that time, when they knew they would not open it.
Come on Robin, AIS please.....
Exactly what I thought and said yesterday!

If that is the case its annoying but a lot better than mechanical failure.
I could crew tomorrow, but I'm sure there will be plenty already in line
If I am right the latest time the bridge could be lifted was 16.15 and it appeared they were there for/or before that time.
So who decides that 'because of traffic' they can decide not to open?
Don't seem right to me. 'Jobsworths?!

Can anyone on board confirm that the sun is over the yard arm? I feel a small libation may be in order.
I have been watching this on and off all day and feel I have been with them all the way. Now it appears good news
think I've earned a glass of red. Cheers.
Very well done guys. You must be proud of yourselves.

Dover. In my opinion he did the right thing. No shame in what he did.
Even better to have admitted it ........... no one needed to have known.
Top marks to him and his mates on the boat.

There is a Concorde museum in Barbados which we visited in March. Apparently one of the few Carribian Islands it flew to?
Yes it is a lot smaller than I imagined.

Flown Ryanair once, will never fly with them again! Pity about Monarch. We have flown with them many times over the years and always found them to be decent.
Steve
Ryanair - the rudest and biggest rip off artists in the airline trade - in my opinion and unfortunately in my dealings with them.
Real shame about Monarch though.

well that was enlightening, I took the model to Herne bay, to the pond used by one of the local boat clubs, and took some advice.
The motor - even running flat out wasnt really pushing the model any faster (well maybe a little) but no spare power, when I bought her out of the water the motor was well hot, the binding somewhere in the drive train, and the resistance of the water on the prop was making the motor work hard.
The motor guru at the club showed me one of his models with the same motor, andthough a much smaller model it was a lot faster. he recommended a bigger motor for the size of boat - a 555 motor - low revving - high torque.
I tried different props - no real difference. bigger motor will be looked at next.
I bet the guys at Herne Bay loved the model?

There is a list here: http://www.broomowners.com/gallery/discontinued-models and the current model section too.. Sadly I notice the scorpio isn't listed.. bad luck Mark..
Bit of shame though I would have thought the more the merrier really..
I had Seamaster 30's for many years and at one time belonged to the Seamaster owners club. They had one member who had changed from a Seamaster to another make and he was allowed to remain in the club as an 'associate' member?! I never understood this but it came to a point when this chap was given my booked mooring for a weekend meeting at Beccles 'because they thought as I was moored in Beccles I would not mind' Left the club soon after!

Could have been fun if that vice had shorted out the battery terminals?!

Hi Geoff, looks good. My mate Martin and our wife's will try this whilst on our four days on the Fens in September, but we will BBQ on the bank! Its still got to go some to beat the peppered steak. Don't think you should apologise about the music when you are moored at the boatyard that provided it!

Hi Geoff. That would go with that steak I raved about! Great. Keep it up.

Very nice. In my mind it still don't beat the steak and homemade pepper sauce though! Glad to see you have lost that cough at last. Great watching, keep it up.

Ahh, that's where you're wrong Alan, I would hire a gardener with one of those sit on mowers and a six pack You know the advert where a girl shakes up a can of coke and throws it to the gardener where upon he opens the can, it sprays out all over his shirt and he has to take his shirt off, very silly advert of course
Just off to purchase a multi pack of coke as we speak
Grace
Now then Gracie, don't get too excited, its not good for your health. Cheers!

Oh that old place, that's just our holiday home, one gets so tired of mowing one's lawn we felt it just had to go ..........I wish lol
Seriously, what a stunning place and smack bang in the middle (more or less) for visiting North and South on a lovely centre cockpit moored at the bottom of the garden.....Heavenly
Grace
Gracie. You wouldn't have time for cruising...............................you'd spend all your free time mowing the grass and chasing off those b....y herons.
