hi neil your not on your own, ive just recieved a new laptop from hubby as a chrissy present as my old samsung laptop has crashed, i kept having problems with windows 10 upgrade ,so i tried to take it off & now can't get into it, anyway hubbys bought me a dell lappy windows 10 yuk, i ive had problems trying to download firefox too, it kept telling me the sight did'nt exsist , so i went onto cnet i think it was & managed to download it, but it still plays up now & then, but i'm comfortable with firefox, windows 10 seems to be abit like apple ,it does'nt like you downloading certain stuff, especially when you go through edge browser, it's a nightmare, ive also taken off the mcfee antivirus that came with it , as that also kept trying to stop me downloading certain software , kies & nikon kept saying there was a problem with it when there was'nt, so ive now downloaded malware bites & it's better, lori

In that report it mentions that the boat is to be removed and I suspect that that will be a costly job, perhaps an insurance company is involved.
Thanks jenny , just had a look at the video in that link , i did'nt realise it was so big , when i saw it in the news bits on fbook it looked quite small , & i also did'nt realise that the guy had fallen overboard, that must've bern aweful for him . Lori

Hi all just heard that the guy who lost his yacht on the beach has not only lost his boat but had lost his home too , & because it had a concrete hull he could'nt get insurance for it , but why should that make any difference to the insurance ? Lori

We live in chesterfield with the hills all around us , my favourite place is castleton & edale , you get such beautiful views up there,we don't actually live IN the peak district but we're just on the edge , i think it actually begins at about hathersage. Lori

Oh, and several free moorings (and a couple you might have to pay for), a handful of pubs and a National Trust tearoom by the mill at Horsey.
Thanks bobdog

With regard to the Herbert Woods boats, it depends on the state of the tide. Sometimes you can go under, sometimes not - just as with many other boats - but there's no overall ban. Whispering Reeds Bittern is very popular - need to book early. Martham Ferry boatyard do still have at least two picnic boats, possibly three (though the yard is currently up for sale). I've seen all these boats out and about this summer.
Hi bobdog , what exactly is there up past potter bridge ? Ive never been up there , ive only ever been to the top end by the windmill . Lori
