Is this fault caused by.
1 Artificial Intelligence

Either way I think we need a 7 year old to fix it.

Hi, and welcome, if you hire a day boat and intend to buy a boat to use on the Broads like that, then you have answered your self on which is the best type of boat for that usage.
A bowrider is best for inshore fun but not for the Broads.

Tides are easy to understand.
They come from where?
Nobody knows.
They go to where?
Nobody knows.
But come and go.
Everybody knows.
Except on the New Cut and they come and goes together.

I don't know, retirement not what it is cracked up to be.
For a start you lose all holiday entitlement, bank holidays you have stay at home because everybody else is out.
Family think you are always available for child sitting.
You lose all track of what day it is.
You start hobbies that can take over your life.
I know because I retired for the second time 10 years ago, 10 years early.
Wish I had done it 40 years earlier.
The worst thing is, once you make the decision time seems to stand still until the day of freedom eventually arrives.

Ps. enjoy the planning but remember you will have to time to be flexible with plans.

Lol, a cheque book - how quaint, that is so last century
I actually paid the deposit on my credit card. I mean, how awesome is that - I bought a boat with my credit card, all those extra Nectar points
Nope.
After a while your only option to pay will be by cheque.
Your credit card will be owned by chanderies, if you have not discovered them yet they are the devils son of boat owners.
All those things you did not know or existed YOU must have for your boat.
Buying a boat is a cheap thing compared to them.

Well done, BUT the 1st thing you need when buying a boat is------------------ a bigger cheque book.
Enjoy but try a few visits before you really go mad.

I will now retire from the forum and hope to live a little longer.

Ian, you are not allowed to use Marina!
Though she scared me.
Hope you are both well, we still miss all from Cove.

If you close pass the staithe a few times a certain Dr may think it is an invasion threat by a superior power and increase the power of his dictat to be able call in the navy!
GO for it.
On the off chance it may happen.

An example, 2 weeks ago I was away and went out to buy a newspaper and a couple of magazines.
Fine no problem I had a lot of change in my pocket so went to pay cash.
We do not take cash for over £10 do you have a debit/credit card?
Yes I said do you want to pay the carrier fee or take the profit from cash, (my back was up by now).
I said they had to take cash or refuse to sell me the things I wished to purchase.
Owner came out to say it was policy so I would have to pay by card.
I left and walked 10 yards up the road and paid cash.
I would not refuse to pay and be willing to leave contact details for them to claim payment.
You are still allowed by law to claim to be paid in coin of the realm, unless by mutual agreement.
Beware of those that run technology it is for their benefit not yours.
I do use internet banking and like it but to close banks is just profit making and service denial.
1984 and all that.

Be patient, this is the cheapest time of boat ownership!.
When you get it, there is always a little job to do.
Then you find more toys in Brian Wards and wham.

Never liked the place after Muriel and Alan left, he who took your money, but by then we were firm friends.

I have not looked at the tides but would thought if you are leaving Potter, Wroxham would be the best place for trains and head south from there.

If it is giant hogweed you have to report it.
Give any council any excuse to do nothing they will obey.
I must be old I can remember when councilors were volunteers on expenses running commities, now they are professionals running cabinets and more concerned about being re-elected.
