I am going to say this just once.

    WEREN'T YOU ALL YOUNG ONCE?.

DID YOU NOT DO STUPID THINGS OR WAS YOU ALL SAINTS?.

    I KNOW I WASN'T!. REMEMBER THE MODS N ROCKERS ?.

I am not condoning dangerous antics in the slightest, but who can honestly say hand on heart in their younger days they were angels, never got drunk, never did things that when they look back on now shudder at?.

    Rant over

Yeah but........we all did those things with a certain amount of style :default_party0001:

You see?  those nice photo's - that happens to me too.  I'll explain.  It is nigh on impossible to have a photo of oneself taken whilst onboard / afloat minus the huge smile ever present.  This is part of the cure of the well known disease of 'Broads Heartache' - similar to homesickness but much worse.  Only cured by being afloat as the evidence provided by Jeff proves yet again.

P.S - Jeff you have got sommat on yer chin mate,   -   No the other one! :hardhat:

Double chin with whiskers not only keeps you warm.......it acts as a handy food depository as well:grin:

It was taken this January on a very early start to take our Viking to Norfolk Boat Sales in Wroxham and pick up our new boat.

I had de iced all the windows before departure but no sooner had I left Acle Marina they iced up again. Spent a good part of the journey with my head stuck out the side of the canopy :shocked

Coming back later that day on our new boat.......

The sticker on the window is a Seaglaze fabrication marker. Volume users could be Viking/Seamaster or Shetland. I think the central panel is removable before the screen is folded therefore. VIKING

Give that man a round of applause :bow

It is our old Viking 20 on a rather cold January morning!

There are plenty of 'wild moorings' along Fleet Dyke - but be prepared to do some Reed cutting especially this time of year where their growth has caused a thick cover.  But there is firm ground in there.

If you don't fancy that, do you have, or can you borrow a spare mud weight? Come alongside the Reeds, drop one at the bow and other at stern and get the rods out :)

    Hi Robin,

We wild moored there last Saturday no problems, just wasn't sure how much busier it maybe now the fishing season has begun.

Until last week we had always moored on public moorings or outside of various eateries but we really enjoyed it......so going to give it a crack again.

I have two mud weights should it come to that.

    No fishing gear though:shocked

  6. Will be up to our boat again on the 27th of this month.

Coming straight from work Tuesday night so will probably get to Acle around 19.00hrs.

Was thinking of going out that evening for a spot of wild mooring overnight again at Fleet Dyke but now the fishing season has started what do you think the chances are of finding a spot?

Don't want to go out at that time and find nowhere available and have to turn round and try and get back to Acle before we lose the light !

JC remember that buying a boat is the cheapest bit, then you discover chandlers, and suddenly you see things you didn't know existed, don't  need, don't  have room for, but must have.

    Any owners deny that?

    Nope.......guilty as charged
