We plan to be back, if not before, we will make it in 2022 for our golden anniversary.

It will be here before you know it!

Anyway i am attaching a picture i took today of the view from the 14th tee of my local golf course in the depths of the New Zealand Winter. 21 degrees. Not Womack Water but not too shabby.

Not too shabby at all .... What a lovely view!

Got to well over 30 in our offices on Thursday. We had loads of fans but it just felt we were in a hairdryer. The boss asked us to come in at 7.30am instead of 8.30, laid on a continental breakfast for us all then said we could go home at 2.30. We were all very, very grateful.  Also very grateful to our son setting up his air conditioning unit in the living room so our dog could be comfortable on that day.   Cool rain coming down now, bliss !

What a lovely boss ... and son!

I`m enjoying this. Looking at the pic above, it reminds me of last year when we took all 43ft of Lightning up to the Lock. I stood on deck while my brother Trev was on the helm, i was his eyes from high. It`s a lovely short cruise to the lock, and well worth it if you want to stay the night. We`ll do that hopefully soon. I love the pics, are they from your camera or phone?.

    Ssshh don't tell everyone!

Judith and I watched it in Spanish in a bar in Calafell about 50Ks south of Barcelona. We met at a bonfire party, 5th of November 1966 and as we had been "Walking out" for so long we decided to get married that evening, I was nearly 20 she was 18. We were together for 50 years 18 days and married for nearly 46. As has been pointed out on the retirement thread time passes so quickly! Nearly 20 then, nearly 70 now. Everthing to look forwards to then, sadly a very lonely future is what I see ahead.

Yes Chris, if we are lucky, life can give you unimaginable happiness, and just when you get to the point where you are inseparable in every way, it puts you in the queue to prise you apart.

Life really is rubbish sometimes. It certainly makes you value how precious life is and not to take anything for granted.

Owning our own boat was an ambition I'd held for almost 50 years.  As time passed, the idea that it would be realised became more and more remote, however due to my wife's diligence, this has turned into reality.

I cannot express how lucky I feel.

Something we would love to do, but at the moment definitely is just a pipe dream. I wish you all the best on your new journey!
