At the risk of sounding a noob (Ok as for the southern broads i am lol), What heights are the bridges, My freeman is around 7" i guess with the screen. will i need to faf around and take the screen down? Just looked on Project Troll and they don't have them on there yet..

Hi All I have read all the posts regarding crossing Breydon water, but can any one tell me whats on the other side ... I am planning our first jaunt to the southern side, and planning for Beccles/Oulton broad direction. So when we get over Breydon, can any one tell me where to moor on route, are there further bridges to contend with and any other useful info please. Many thanks in advance :-)

Had a very nice weekend out cruising the Northern broads, pretty much covered all of them over 3 days, stopped at Horning little broad on Friday night and decided to mudweight for the the night, first time we have done that for an overnighter so was a little nervous that we would wake up somewhere else, but all was well, we shared the whole broad with only 3 other boats, it was idealic, considering how busy the like of Salhouse was. Saturday was interesting, with the handover day comes many boaters with no clue of what to do, not their fault as it has to be the boat yards responsibility to give more instruction, we helped a number of obvious first time boaters to moor at How Hill, and after imparting advice on what and how to do things, i believe they may enjoy their breaks just a little bit moor (I hope ). Witnessed many crashes, just glad i wasnt in them lol. Found a lovely wild mooring near Irstead for Saturday night, so peaceful watching the sun set. Sunday was extremely busy on the water, but with copious amounts of waving at fellow boaters it was still very enjoyable, with the sun blazing, although windy, we even braved the canopy down. Looking forward to the next long weekend and even more sunshine :-)

Thanks all, i decided to go for a cello in the end, as it is purely 12v, saves a lot of messing around. The sound on the 22" traveller is not brilliant as some have pointed out, but its usable, but i plugged in a Bose speaker and its all good now.. :-)

ok just worried that the boat charges up to 14v, will the change in DC not damage the TV? Does the power brick adjust the voltage going in to the tv?

Hi all, i will guess this has been asked before some where, but i would like your thoughts on which is the best TV for the boat. I have a Freeman 25, the sockets aboard are 12v cig sockets. Taking in to account im getting on a bit and the ole eyes aren't what they used to be and the same for the ears :-) so require something that i can view comfortably. The technical side. So what aerial would i need, as in just an aerial on a cable, drilled and fitted type, or A N Other? Power consumption is obviously an issue for all of us on a boat, it will be run strictly from leisure battery, so what is the amp draw of most TV's. Any advise would be appreciated. Hi All, I have a solar kit to fit. The boat has a split charge relay fitted, so my question is, do i fit the solar cables just to the starter battery. I believe that i should as it will then split the charge to the 2 x leisure batteries. Just want a second opinion to confirm i am right. Thanks All :-)
