  1. for those who havent seen pics of caravelle since i got her there are some here http://www.flickr.com/photos/gary_morris67/
  2. to get cheaper prices then why not form a syndicate in your moorings, 5-6 boats order 1000ltrs between them and fill up same day. as long as your all there and side by side am sure the lorry driver will be ok with that. just make sure u all have 200-220 ltr tanks. fit an extra tank if needs be , will pay for itself the first season am sure.
  3. T711 is was floated this morning and taken away by the BA . the guy that had the boat was seen carrying a 1+ meter long parcel onto the boat the day before she sank (propshaft), it has come to light he damaged a flange thus causing water to seep into the boat . i dont know if the BA will sell her on or scrap her . but atleast the polution threat is now gone .
  4. the BA and staff at beauchamp arms will attempt to raise T711 friday morning at 8 am , they have borrowed my big bilgepump (3500 gallons an hour) and BA will have pumps with them, lets hope she floats, atm its unclear wether BA will take the boat with them and be scrapped or hopefully it'll be left at pub then transported to rays brothers slip in reedham as some fool has said he'll have it. if i doesnt come up tomorrow then i'll try and get bigger pumps for an attempt sunday. if we get her we'll be needing a tow to reedham if anyone fancies the job.
  5. the owner was on the boat the day before so she went down fairly quick. she looks like a nice boat i was thinking the same thing on the wednesday before as i sat on the front of caravelle drinking a coffee. there is no electric on those moorings and there only 24 hr moorings aparently. as for another project you really think i have the time ... lol ... but ya never know .
  6. we were talking about that in the pub last wednesday bill but we were unsure of salvage rights ect if owner cannot be trased in good time as she needs to come up asap.
  7. was low (ish) tide when pics were taken , water level at low tide is normally about 6 inches or so lower at extreme high tide then water levels are 6 inches from top of moorings. but i do belive a pump out is possible, only problem being its the other side of a gate so pumps will need to be on a pontoon next to the boat. apparently the guy was working on the boat the day before she sank, no one knows who he is , not even BA .
  8. pics of the ill fated cruiser at beauchamp arms now on my flikr http://www.flickr.com/photos/gary_morris67
  9. thanks for the pic of caravelle nog , will def be turning her around and washing starbord side tomorrow . as for the other boat i dont think the guy has been living on it for a while as i've not seen anyone and ian has stuck a river tax not paid sign on it . i'll get some pics and post em tomorrow.
  10. i see i need to turn caravelle around and wash starbord side .. lol . port side is alot cleaner

  13. if you look at jills pic of caravelle then the boat that went down is to the left 3 boats down , one at top of other pic is east and still afloat. thanks jill for letting me borrow pics
  14. well i just plucked up courage to call the pub, its not caravelle its the boat on the west free moorings . phew for me but bad news for the owners . for pics of caravelle's resteration go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/gary_morris67 if anyone has pics of her underwater ect please pm me for my email address . thanks gary
