Hello Jill the New inn moorings are not £5.00 per night they are free providing you book a table, the £5.00 on the sign is for electric per night and I have confirmed this information when we moored there during our recent holiday

We hired Gold gem 2 in October 2008 and found it to be a good boat for the money, obviously its not brand new but as usual with Richardsons boats very clean and well turned out.
If we hadn't bought our own boat we would have hired it again.

it is also worth taking the bait off your hooks when not in use, a few weeks ago a local dog owner in Potter got a hefty vet bill when his dog munched on a baited hook hanging from the side of a boat..
Do you reckon he was fishing for dogfish Clive?

I reckon folks should be allowed to live as they choose and if thats means on the river so be it,the rivers were there before any kind of authority and folks have lived on them for hundreds of years and long may it continue!

While reading the rest of this thread, my son came up behind me and said
" I know how to save on fuel "
" How, would you do it, I asked "
" Well " he said, "Get a yacht and sail, row or use one of those long stick things to push it "
He is now nursing a black eye, for being silly.
Should think so too Donny, dont give him any dinner either!
