Was watching full metal jacket film the other night  . Which  I have seen many times. So I did my usual and checked out some trivia. Regarding the film.

The scene, when  the two journalist are flying over the paddy fields ,this   were shot over the Norfolk broads. Wow never new that . Also the film makers were suppose to mention this fact to the locals. So at 5:00  in the morning a Wessex helicopter flying low  over the broads is shooting blanks across Norfolk broads . I bet a few worried fisherman ran for the hills :shocked. Well if Norfolk had any :wave

The vietcong village was the old Beckton Gas Works in East London. I was working in heavy chemicals at the time at the International Paint Factory at Silverton and we could here the thunder flashes from there.
