The numerous Budlia are now beginning to fade in my garden and have flowered exceptionally well this summer but there has been hardly a butterfly to be seen. At the end of May I saw more Painted Ladies than I have seen for many years over the Erigeron and Hebe but they don't count as they migrate from North Africa. All I can put it down to is the very cold and wet weather we had at the end of October and start of November 2016.
