Diesel Filter

Hi am I correct in thinking that under the t bar screw at the top there will be some kind of filter? If so is it just a case of unscrewing and removing or will diesel spew out everywhere.  Thanks

There should be a shut off valve somewhere but you may still spill some diesel.  Any doubts then I would seek the assistance of a local boatyard.

Yes first turn of isolating tap/valve on or near tank then place rag then a bowl to catch any spillage then clean replace the sealing rings with a smear of grease this helps to settle and keeps in place,  as you screw retaining bolt spin/turn cover to make sure it is centralised, turn tap on and bleed.
