Microbe
Good afternoon all, some final feedback about the new propeller and the choices made. Firstly thank you for all the replies and comments. I am especially grateful to Paul Richardson and also to C.Ricko for being spot on with the original fitment of the 16 x 14 LH prop. I decided to go with this choice and I am very happy with the results. After having adjusted the governor settings the boat will achieve 7mph at 1800rpm, which is more than enough for my needs and the speed limits on the water. Most importantly the boat will reach 4mph at 1000-1200rpm depending on tide and wind. The old prop (15 x 13) would manage about 3mph for the same engine speed. There is no sign of black smoke, so I do not think the engine is under excessive load. Wishing you all happy boating for the remainder of the season!
