Meantime
I'm guessing there are quite a few people breathing a sigh of relief that their Easter passages are unlikely to be blocked, However I've read elsewhere that the work has been delayed until the Autumn. If that is true then it means another season of torment for quite a few boaters.

If that is true then it means another season of torment for quite a few boaters. When the work was going on last autumn the actual "work periods" were quite short. They had a full base set up in The Ship Carpark with staff being lodged in G-Y but then setting off for Somerleyton by road on some days. Teams of specialist contractors came from all over UK Edited March 22 by Bytheriver

ExSurveyor
Dear all, A reminder if you are not aware that there will be high river traffic due to Three Rivers Race this weekend. Over 100 sailing boats will be racing on the Rivers Bure, Ant and Thurne from tomorrow morning. These rivers will be extremely busy, with certain pinch points possible at Horning (the start), Ludham Bridge, Potter Heigham Bridge and other narrow-width areas. Other vessels please be mindful of the high number of crafts on the river and be aware of sailing vessels tacking (zig-zagging) across the rivers. Keep slow and to the right-hand bank when amongst the yachts. ExSurveyor
Dear Broads stakeholder, We are launching a review of the Broads Authority Integrated Access Strategy (IAS), a key document which relates to the Broads Plan. The IAS guides the provision of access on land and between land and water in the Broads. It also guides mooring and de-masting provision on the Broads waterways, as previously covered by the Authority’s 2006 Mooring Strategy. As the first step in the review process, we would like to ask for your comments on the attached scoping paper. This scoping paper describes the values, principles and aims of the new strategy. At the end of the paper is a table with six questions. Please use the spaces in the table to give your replies to the questions and return them to kylie.moos@broads-authority.gov.uk. There is deadline for comments is midday Monday 18 September. A further consultation on the draft new strategy will take place later in the year (the timetable is laid out in the scoping paper). Your feedback at this early stage of the process is really valued.
