As reported on the Norfolk Wherry Trust - Home of Albion FB page. I bought his book soon after we moved to Horning in 1970, I was hooked by the history of wherries and the Broads

"We're sad to report that our good friend, the maritime author, Bob Malster passed away last night.

Bob's "Wherries and Waterways", together with Roy Clark's "Black Sailed Traders" remain the "go to" information sources for all wherry enthusiasts.

Bob can be seen on what was his last time aboard Albion at the Ella Centenary celebrations in 2012.

RIP Bob.

They do indeed.

Bob also published a book called "The Broads" which is full of fascinating history.  I can highly recommend it.
