goodall_m1
Thanks Ted, I stand corrected, that will make things a bit easier for you. I have only been out of Alphacraft twice, with Spitfire and Hurricane, both of which had bow-thrusters, and they did come in handy. I would still let them park her into her final berth though. to get her in will involve going backwards with a 12ft wide boat in a channel that only has about 20ft between the bows of the other boats and the far bank and then turning into the space, probably between two other boats... I chickened out both times! My handover on Spitfire was very basic, they showed me where everything was and then got off an let us leave... But then I had turned up with my own life-jackets for the entire crew, spare mooring warps, Hand-held VHF etc, and asked the right questions so they probably assumed that I knew enough already. With Hurricane it was about the same (well they are sister ships). Despite this they are a very professional outfit so I expect you to have a great trip. Alan
Have to agree with Martin about not attempting to get your own boat back in place. Our last outing was with Alphacraft Sabre and I'm sure that 20 feet Martin spoke of was only about 15 !! Alan.
