Hello everybody

I have come for some advice. We are a larger family of 2 adults and 4 teenagers who have given up on the "relaxing" holiday abroad and now stay in good old blighty. We are looking at hiring a boat for a week next summer in july and would appreciate some pointers such as accessibility and best routes to take as beginners on the broads.Any assistance much appreciated.

Hi & welcome to the site :wave

One bit of advice or possibly a warning :o

The height of summer on the broads is abit like the M25 on a Friday rush hour. You may want to consider going slightly out of season when the weathers still good but the rivers not so mad :Stinky

Hi,

I might be worth looking at getting a sailing/row boat from the hire yard.

These are good fun and can help with pub access, as often the moorings out side the pub will be full, but there will be moorings free on the opposite bank.

Get the yard to show you how to use the mudweight and use it to moor one night on a Broad and watch the sunset.

Have Fun

Ian
