alexandlorna
Are we the only people on the broads whose window seals are eaten by birds this time of year? Or does Jason Hatch have swallows specially trained to make lots of business for him? Alex and Lorna
Oddfellow
We have a Crow or perhaps a Jackdaw that is the bane of our lives. Damn thing pulls away our window seals, steals sandwiches that are unattended for moments, ****s all over our boats and and is a damn nuisance. One of our facebook followers photographed one on our boats last week and posted the pic. .
alexandlorna
Hi Andy At first we were blaming a crow also, and had seen him on the boat a few times ,through cabin windows early in the morning However we later blamed the swallows as they always seemed to be in the right area , picking at beasties Having heard what you say now I aint so sure So which do I shoot I am of course joking , but seagulls might tempt me though Alex
MauriceMynah
If the seals are grey, have a look at Horsey beach, maybe they're going there.
alexandlorna
Indeed MM , well I will tell you one thing they get there at a fair rate of knots ! Fixed one morning and leaking like a sieve next morning I still say Mr Hatch is the dark force in control of the miscreants lol !
Oddfellow
I think those Grey Seals are all too common. (sorry) Swallows eat on the wing in general, so I would doubt that they are to blame, unless you have a deck full of dead ones that have bashed into your windows looking for a tasty meal
alexandlorna
We can only hope that when we get down next week ,the hungry ones have found some other source of sustenance It will be good to get back on the water ,but preferably in dry cabins lol Alex
