SPEEDTRIPLE
If you could rent it out, it could make you a nice bit of income, Sheltered off river moorings with all facilities would command quite a price i should imagine?.

Oddfellow
I suspect that this the mooring along the dyke beside your yard. My friend owns the adjacent plot to this. Seems to have been for sale forever. A change of agent often helps such things.
Guest
Yes, it sounds like the dyke "Nobbs Loke" that is just to the East of Wayford Bridge boatyard, (ie, slightly donstream, on the Northern Bank.) I looked at a mooring there about 12 years ago, and the dyke is lined with private plots along both sides. There's a small car park at the top end, accessible from the A149, nearly opposite the Wayford Bridge Nursey entrance. I was a bit worried about the security aspects there, as it seemed so quiet and secluded, well off the main road. The financial wisdom of buying a mooring can be very sound though. Although as Paul said "that would be the next 33 years mooring fees sorted", that isn't the whole true comparison. Yes, it represents a big capital outlay, but then it's actually an investment too, and should never really drop in value, even allowing for inflation. So the way to think about it is as a secure nest-egg, safe from stock market crashes or low cash investment interest rates. Then, the almost free annual mooring fee, is pure gravy.... (I said almost, because there may be council rates to pay at about £200 pa or so, and possibly a maintenence fee for the access road, of about the same amount. Still a great deal less than the average £1500 pa or so to rent a mooring.)
