    normaly warm air heating in boats has it.s own diesel burning unit ,seperate from the engine,check with yard for this,bieng a cnfined space boats tend to get very toasty with the heating running so you shouldn,t have a problem.Cant comment on the northern rivers for electricity,but there are some on the southern rivers,this time of year it may be best to ring ahead to any pub and book a mooring.

    it,s that time of year again,when you start thinking of those jobs that have been put off during the busy boating season,i ve got one of them....

    i have to adjust the tappets on the starboard engine,i know the clearance to use butttt,idon,t know the sequence of the valves ie adjust number .... with number.....rocking,this is normaly easy but no one can tell me how to do a 5 cylinder engine!!! please help!!!

    ps it,s a mercruiser d183 turbo,

    i think it should look like this this is an alpha 1 drive,the handbook for merc/outdrives says you will damage the drive if you run the drive at anything over tickover ,past the limit switch,i,d fit a "park button" on the dash and make it non latching ie a button.

    here,s how to remove one i think it covers the switches
