please note that the dark blue hull on this classic hardy 25 superb it is but as with most orf the dark blue hull s , the hull has had a repaint from the original gel due to colour fade ,milkyness and too much compound and excesssive poish technics all quite common on modern dark finishes of the time .................. ligth fast and uv compliant paints /gels etc are much better now but at the time orf build this was the bestr was avail ....... bit orf topic i owned a certian very fast eastern europen car which had a marooon paint works it was one year old and with in a year it lost its guts as we would say ,cloudy and no deep shine depth ..................... i know it was fast as a certian famous yard owner s son was disgruntled as to looose the local race home in his latest ford 4*4 with an engine twice the power ........... ahh skill and style win the day .......!!!!!!!!!! more teak laid decks on a classic woodie make the engine hatch fitt .........

spent some orf the week with new owner on her this last week ............ he commented on how much drier she is and more welcome to board her know .... still getting a good amount orf water througth the dehumaniser and bilge pump nw stopped with dripping gland sorted and plank repared temp to stop some orf her little dribbles the bilge was first suck out orf years orf dirt and grit from times past ............ one orf my supper dupper aquvac did the job with excess orf so far plus full ones emtpty sludge and water trappeed in the bottom orf bilge and inbetween the ribs too...... well blast me she rose a good inch out orf water and sit a bit better too..... checked on her every day to see any more ingress orf water since little clean oot and hardly nay to complain about ..................... the worst plank below water line from what we can see till we lift her oot is a recent one ,as it was painted and has rotted shame .i reckon contaminated or poor quality wood not maye treated when fitted ,same ole rule applies as i keep harpen on about .......!!!!!! soak it in good ole 5* star treatment new or old .............. cover will go on now she has stopped weeing for england ...................... still lookin for pics orf her ....................................

re pics yes it yuo alan ........................................blimmey yer good here thaw and everywhere queen is going great guns ....................... both cabin side are complete removed along with the degradedbeams crappy carlins and deck supports etc the new wood has been ordered and next week see a two full days orf rough cutting and running through a planner to tidy wood up we have got some issuse with the bulk heads which were hiding with covering boards to help strenghten them or hide degraded wood .....??????!!!!!!!!! so about bulk heads are to have sraff new wood in to rebuild ....... there are screws and bitts orf wood all in the bilges which are ready now to clean up ,a couple more sprays in areas not able to get to will be sprayed orf coarse with the ole 5* treatment the cabin side are to be solid and the decks are to be marine ply grade with resin coates and laid cloth" biaxal " with resin too, all resins are to be epoxy and glues some mixes orf two packs and moisture cure still trying to decide about the rear windows configuration in the rear cabin and the rear cabin is to have a double bed instead orf two singles now ......................... all new rails, covering boards deck suppports and upper deck beams hopppers toe rail upper rubber strake all to be made rear port holes are gone now and the tiles in the wood burner surround ar to be changed along with wood burner it self modern galley is staying but new top slash back as rott and wet wood had crept in there tooo...................................... new fuel and water tanks are being made drawing done and sent to the welder for fabricating all stainless on this none ........................... more in next few weeks ..........................
