  1. The Jarrold Printing Factory on Barrack street has been demolished many years ago
  2. Its a problem , i used Salhouse Broad Car park one evening last week, a great little car park with toilets. Its not a Pay and display, there is a steel box that welcomes a £1 contribution for parking, which i gladly deposited. I would say i was in the minority who did this. Folk are funny about small change, If folk knew where the money was going and what it for i think they would give
  3. Im after a New Outboard for my little Fletcher Speed boat, nothing too powerful, as its only 13 feet long. Marine Tech has many outboards, which im looking at, but also need the outboard, electrics and steering fitted as well. So alot of work. Which is why i have asked if anyone has had dealings with them in the past. I did have my Binliner serviced with them about 4 years ago, with a few modifications also, and i was generally pleased with the service. I know things change and owners change. Brian
  4. I have just purchased a 15ft Fletcher shell from a chap in Caister and need to get it back to my place in Rackheath. I need to either Hire or Buy a Boat trailer urgently. Can anyone help please ? I need it either Today or Tomorrow Brian

  6. I saw this Boat Moored up at Wroxham on Sunday when i was on the River. Looks a very modern take on a Classic Bath Tub design. Bang up to date, looking like other Modern Cruisers.
  7. Thank you Lori, it was a lovely day Spotted Barry and Olive in Horning Main Street !
  8. In my mind there's only two best times to visit the broads Early in the year or October Why... Early in the year you feel lime the first explorers, everything is fresh and new, October ... Everyone has gone home , just a few hire craft on the river ,, you are the late stop outs ,,
  9. Great boat to relax on Then we saw something !!! River Police !! After backing off the throttle by about 200 rpm (yes) lol and settling back down in the water from the plain , we pulled faces We love the Norfolk broads Ferry marina hire boats come highly recommended by me, I know they may be slightly more expensive than others , but they are modern and very clean
  10. Here's a few pics of Clare at the Helm Then it was Marcus under my supervision Dog fell asleep Rachel waiting for the kettle to boil
  11. First stop ... Ice cream man After a 99 flake with toffee and vanilla ice cream we headed to the Capital ... Very busy indeed, we did the traditional u turn at the bridge and went back to Salhouse broad for a picnic
  12. The cafe was great, very modern inside, great .coffee and great food:) It was so nice sitting outside next to very expensive boats At 9.45 we drove over to the ferry marina hire office, we had booked bosun because the weather is all over the place. We all boarded with tonnes of food in the waeco fridge, but there was no plug in 12v power for it the staff said we could take a skipper as they have 12v , we we jumped ship into a skipper. My favourite day boat on the broads. It's better for sunny days , which we had today So all loaded, after a talk with the very nice lady, we departed and headed to the broads Capital ... Wroxham ! 13. Had a great day on Slipper ! The Bosuns don't have a 12v Supply for a fridge ! So we jumped ship weather was fantastic for the skipper We hired a skipper last year, a great hire craft We started the day with a full English at ferry marina cafe More soon .....
  14. Booked Bosun from Ferry Marina Yesterday as a Fathers day gift to me Of course the rest of the family are welcome to come along as well I thought of a change as we normally hire Skipper. Wanted to try the Bath Tub experience Far more practical in this weather.

  18. Yes, just now booked online with Moonfleet. !!! Booked the `Moon Voyager` for Easter weekend in 2014, deposit all paid. http://www.richardsonsboatingholidays.co.uk/boat/moon-voyager/163/
  19. Mr Pooley applies for retrospective planning, the BA agree with certain covenants attached. The broad is maintained in it's current state (agreed by both parties to be a improvement) The broad is not used for commercial ventures. The granting of public access on one day per month throughout the year. The BA get a restored broad for zero cost. The public enjoy conservation at work for 12 days every year. Nature enjoys the broad uninterrupted for 353 days of the year. It only needs people working together for a single cause. That would be a fantastic conclusion to this MArtin !
  20. Hi MArtin, I have visited Cockshoot broads on many occasions. THe boardwalk to the bird hive is great. Its a real great walk in the countryside, seeing so much wildlife in such a lovely place. Without the boardwalk at Cockshoot, there simply would not be anyway of walking around the area.
