  1. Yes i have just read the Broadland Council Mag, and there's a full page spread promoting events on the Norfolk Broads Has anyone seen this ?
  2. We had Two days of sunshine Thats not bad i suppose. Its all grey again
  3. A warm Welcome from the NBN team goes out to Amanda, from Herbert Woods. Herbert Woods have agreed to support our site with a Banner Advert. So please give it a click and browse their fantastic web site. Brian and the NBN Team www.herbertwoods.co.uk
  4. Where at Oulton Broad can we Park our Cars ? Will there be a base camp near the waters edge ? Where are you Parking the Boats ?
  5. Funny As i have just written a Article in Rackheath Life about the poor BB speeds we have in Rackheath Its all over the place, some people seeing 0.3 MBps whicle another has 7MBps Im with Business Broadband and have only 1.85MBps which has gone down from 6 MBps which i had in 2008 So things are slowing down in Rackheath BT have reset my Line a fe times and i see massive fluctuations on the speed, then after 2 days its back at 1.85 MBps Totaly useless when you have two Children who use iPhones and iPads. I can no longer stream Apple Films, if we hire a Film it take 8 hours (HD) to download to watch. BT say that they are Upgrading our Exchange (which is about 500 yards away) in June, but they have been saying that for years ! lol ! And the funniest thing is, My Address is ` The Old Telephone Exchange` Salhouse Road. Yep this was where all those ladies sat, plugging in those plugs to make the connections ! The Industrial Eastate is so Slow, many businesses Tether their iPhones to the PCs using the 3G connection as its 4 times faster than the Fixed line BB !!! Its mental !
  6. certainly their days are numbered ?
  7. Whos seen the latest Yellow Pages ? Our one is the size of a Children's Paperback book ! Everything is digital, Google, search, is the main player. Everyone i speak too, uses Google, to search for everything. Heck i used it 5 mins a go to find the cheapest toner cartridge for my printer !, All ordered and its on its way. The Boatyards are doing a fine job in self promotion. Richardson catalogue is still sitting on my coffee table, ive read it 3 times and im close.... but it doesn't end there, Richardsons are investing in google adverts and addwords. All very clever stuff. When im using Chrome signed in, every other page i visit has a Richardson Holiday advert on it, Im being Stalked !! So this is proof that the Yards can go it alone. The broads can sell themselves, all you need is a picture of a lovely new Broads Cruiser, Blue sky, green trees, and The boatyard Logo. A Great British Holiday, no queuing at Airports, no taking your clothes and socks off at baggage check. Im staying in the UK certainly for the next few years ! Changing times ahead
  8. Its important for Locals to say no to these National Stores ! The Local Council really needs to get a grip also. I have seen the SHerigham one go through , but with loads of extras !, but at the end of the day are those extras worth it ? Yes im sure Tesco will offer a Small Community center for Brundle in exchange for the Tesco Store, but if a new Community center was to be built what would happen to the old one ? Who would run the new one ? Sling your hook Tesco !
  9. Dont worry, people are returning to stay in the UK. Butlins have spent a fortune on upgrades to their Holiday parks. For the first time ever we are not travelling abroad this year (normally USA) but have booked up a Butlins Holiday instead. Will it be worth it ? Ill let you know after the holiday
  10. Brundle allready has a good Store, Tesco Destroys local businesses, the Great local store that been there for years and years, the community around that local store. It isnt just about a new Tesco store anymore. Its about destroying local communities and the existing infrastructure that they already have. Pi$$ off Tesco !
  11. its not what it seems..... You will be amazed at Lord Paul and His HD filming ....
  12. Anyone seen Lord Paul and His Chopper Filming over head ?
  13. This is what its all about
  14. Clive Richardson will be along shortly to clear this up.
  15. Hi Stayin, great website you have there and what a fantastic `Plug` We have no problem with local businesses promoting or advertising on NBN, but the NBN does cost money to run, and something in return would be a nice gesture (weekend break would do me fine) Joking aside. A Banner advert costs £120 a year or £60 for 6 months, this allows unlimited Plugging Another option is for unlimited plugging with no banner advert for £40 a year. The Forum costs us £ 460 + a year to run. PM if you want to discuss more Brian
  16. Sign companies would have a Frosted effect laminate to stick on, which would let light in, but you cant see in or out ?
  17. Tell us more Jill, looks very interesting
  18. "This Ad is to View NOT BUY!! " Sounds a bit fishy
  19. Yep i agree Clive is /..one of the team
  20. THers a bit more to sort out : (
  21. We have been busy on the new forum for over a month now, with the Team that run NBN, getting it looking good and uploading new content. Its very different from this forum, far more advanced and easier to get around. You can delve deep into the workings to find such useful items and tools. but you don't have too. The layout is different, yes, its like Moving House. We are packing the crates up now, all day Saturday, then on Sunday morning, we have the Keys to the new Ship. There are some changes that may take a bit of time to get used to, but it will be worth it in the long run For me its going to be sad to say goodbye to this Forum, Its been apart of me for so long and it hasnt changed in over 5 years. In a graphical context. So one day to go before i see you on the other side ............. THE BRIGHT SIDE
