Nice to see the old bell back open.
do you know if the bowling green behind/next to it is still used just asking as my grandad used to be the green keeper in the 50/60s when he and my mum lived in the village.
No Roy it’s not been used for a bowling green for at least 25 years as I know.

Have a try in my local the Stag (formally The Bell) at Salhouse Howard you will like. Make sure you book if eating as all the tables are set for dining and fully booked especially with the silly season upon us.

I bet he had to carry her some distance then ! Horning seems to be the worst area with the flooding. You have taken my old mooring at Horning marina👍

Some of the early Broom 29s had this Nanni 37hp engine, looks like their hire fleet were fitted with them as well. Good engine if a little underpowered and better than the 50hp Volvo Md22 which was also fitted at first. A lot of the last private ones built had a 62hp engine fitted.

Thought I would check on the boat at Horning this morning only from Salhouse, bad idea what with the road works on Norwich Rd Wroxham, water on the road near the boat yard then ferry road Horning impassable ( Tractor and waders over 3ft deep in parts ) tractor and trailer taking cars from ferry marina to dry land at the top of the road. I haven’t seen it quite as bad for a few years.

Never mind wellies, I think you need waders or even a dinghy!
This is so true just been down to Horning it’s quite bad, the road down to the ferry is a no go for cars would need a decent pair of wellies to even attempt it!

Crumbs is that how people think these days. Having to worry about what the Jones's are doing or thinking about you and kids have to be able to say they went aboard.
No the majority don’t certainly not in our family and circles!

The interior needs some work on the basis of those photos. It looks like it still has the original Brister Craft upholstery.
Agree the upholstery is typical 1990s Brister craft so would be getting on 30 yers old. The damp water marks on the woodwork would put me off, I have seen quite a few like that recently as looking for a possible change of boat again!

It must have been full as it was the busiest I have seen the place for a few years on Saturday.

There were paddle boarders on Rockland dyke Saturday night, zero lights not easy to see. Good job the helm was keeping a good look out MM!
