Hi Coolcat
Not so sure about that
I am old enough to remember pitch battles between Mods and Rockers at Great Yarmouth,Clacton and Blackpool.

I totally agree with removing these people and terminating there hire but for many reading this thread it needs to be put into perspective .
I have holidayed on the Broads every year for the past fifty years and accepted for one occasion in about 1970 when a couple on a small two birth boat spent the entire night violently arguing encountered any real anti social behaviour from other boaters
I do regularly moor at Norwich and the trouble there is from residents of the city screaming and shouting along Riverside Road

I love cruising the Wroxham-Coltishall stretch in the still of early morning
There is nothing to hate about being on the Broads

In the Broads Authority planning list the application for mooring craft in Jenner's Basin has been withdrawn.
Therefore it is reasonable to assume no permission to moor now exists

May 1964 Jack Powles Rippling Foam you needed three hands to helm it when mooring one each for wheel, motor bike style throttle and gear stick which was direct, great memories

We hired from Powles throught the late sixties and into the seventies and at that Time as Buffalo Bill states they had yards on both sides of the river.
Where the houses are now on the Wroxham side they used Primarly for Building and repair and where Barnes are now was the original Powles Hire fleet yard later they also used the Collins old yard on the Wroxham side when owned by Pennant

I agree I have never seen parishoners long term moor there
Last Summer 3 or 4 boats moored there most of the summer I think 1 was moved on by BA as unlicensed a couple of yachts plus one small cruiser have been there most of the winter
But i noticed on Sunday at least one had an enforcement notice on it
Unable to read detail notice was river side

Had a walk round The moorings this morning and noticed that they now have the Standard Broads Authority
24 hour Mooring Signs up usual maximum 24 hour stay no return within 24 hours
Also at least one of the yachts there had a notice attached to it
Hopefully the others will also be removed
I thought these moorings where Parish Council not Broads Authority I therefore assume some agreement as been reached between them
