Hi Barry
Thanks that brings back memories she was a great boat you needed three hands when coming into moor, motor bike style throttle and direct gear
Those days toilets discharged into river and ice box not fridge
collected freezer blocks on exchange from riverside stores

Summercraft may not start hiring until 19th March one week before easter
Richardsons Woods or Martham will be your best bet pent of choice depending on your budget and they are ok on most craft with just male crew

Hi Eric
My now ex-wife had cataract operations on both eyes and was told as I assume you have been to have them done one at time not both together
She had no problems with one eye at all and some minor iritation in the other for about ten days
It improved her sight tremendously
Hope that helps a little

Hi Iain
Thank you for your reply
I know it is a long drive for you might be another option would be to have a couple of stops each way and a bit less time in Norfolk at least that way you get to see The Broads
There is no way you are leaving the forum Gracie will not allow it, come to that none of us will
Regards

I am sure it was very difficult for you to leave but for your health you made the right choice
I know from your posts how much you think of the Broads and the memories of your many Holidays
Knowing you I am sure you will find away to get there
Is the train an option down to London then to Norwich
From the Railway Station there are many options to Boats Hotels or Cottages
Best Regards

Hi Carol
Great video
like Peter I remember York Rose in my early broads days
It cut a very modern look
According to Craigs list Little Ships sold it in 1973 to Bell Marine nothing after that

Hi Peter
Welcome to the site from me
I think you and Iain are talking about different boats
The original Sparkling Horizon was a Safari 25 sold and replaced with another craft of a different type but the same name
Regards
Ray
I think we have moored on a tip!

You are correct it is not The Broads Authorities responsibility to deal with waste but it is the responsibility of the Local Authorities to deal with it.
Most of the waste generated from Boats on the Broads is from goods purchased from buisness and shops in the broads area therefore the local authority in that area should deal with it
Most hire yards have waste bins in there yard for which they pay for disposal why then should they pay more also remember they pay additional licensing fees for there craft anyway
