  1. Just waiting for the Bridge Inn to open Not Doombar again.......... :-o
  2. A relatively warm but breezy morning here in Horning. Heading for GY today, only one day left, sob
  3. The public toilets are open in Horning. Sign outside says open 24 hours
  4. Doombar is spreading like Japenese Knotweed but had a very nice drop of Adnams in the Swan which was decked out in fine festive style
  5. Hi Tony Great pleasure to meet you too and many thanks for the kind comments about the pics
  6. Having a Norfolk Nog in the Ferry, Horning. Arguably the best thing Woodfordes do. Great pleasure to meet member Tony at the Staithe.
  7. Another boat on the Staithe! Yikes!
  8. Only downside is Maltsters have Doombar and Wherry on. Time for a Guinness
  9. Mrs Nog being mobbed by swans at Granary Staithe She was feeding them corn as it's better for them than bread. In summer they are probably over fed but in winter they must be quite hungry.
  10. Compare this with Ranworth in the summer!
  11. Water definitely on at Ranworth now.
  12. We had water at Faircraft Loynes yesterday. The water is normally on at Ranworth. Ludham Bridge is off. Think water was on at Phoenix fleet at Potter. As Alan says Reedham is definitely on but we have our own hose. Goodchilds might be on. Horning Marina services are often a good bet too. The new guy at Great Yarmouth (opp YS) does pump outs so may do water. Mooring could be tricky there though.
  13. Hi Mark Yes I have tried it before and found it very drinkable
  14. Not this trip, but have used it before, it's brill. There is a very good sized hot water cylinder on board but in winter it's good to be near a refill point eg Ranworth
  15. How often do you see the moorings empty at Horning?? Quiet and peaceful
  16. Very friendly helpful folks at Faircraft Loynes too
  17. Good news indeed. Called in on Saturday, superb pub
  18. Hi Alan To be honest we haven't had any problems with condensation apart from a bit on the windows in the morning. The boat seems to be very well insulated and really is very cosy. It's almost as if it were designed for winter cruising!
  19. Hi Simon The heating on Radiance is fantastic and it's a very cosy boat. We tend to be in the pub at night so just pop the heating on for half an hour before we turn in. We don't run it overnight. Swancraft gave us double duvets and we are snug as the proverbial bug in a rug. It is surprisingly warm! Best bit was December 2010 when it snowed!
  20. Thanks Grace, you are most welcome!
  21. Ooo er, sorry John blush Tried doing that but the only option seems to remove as a friend which I don't want to do. Am I missing something?
  22. Sorry to seem a bit thick but it looks as if several kind folks have added me as a friend (I didn't know I had any) I don't do Facebook (not sure if it's the same thing) but could some kind person tell me how to reciprocate?
  23. A few at Richardsons especially for Grace!
  24. I'll be on the case shortly Iain Meanwhile the barmaid in the Swan should get the friendly, bubbly, and efficient award. Well impressed
