i think maybe thats the way a lot of people think,  did he win the race or was it the car,  could another driver have won if he had been driving,  similar to frankie dettori winning a big race,  did he win the race or was it the horse

Fiteams all use telemetry now. Not only are various performance factors captured and transmitted live to the team, but there are a bunch of engineers backhere in the UK who can make adjustments as they go.

Bottas has had significantly  more DNFs than Hamilton, and he has often complained of unexplainable power loss when doing very well.

I wonder just how different things could be if there was no telemetry .

I’m a fanboy, and proud to be. Don’t get me wrong I fully understand his flaws, but hey - who’s perfect?

never understood the British way of bashing our own. If he was German or French or from most other parts of the world he would be treated like royalty, but we prefer to always put the boot in. Odd behaviour IMO.

So it's about 'flag waving' , is it ? :12_slight_smile:

I`m looking at the first link provided by you Poppy. I can`t see February but can see December mentioned and the decision was handed down last month.

This is becoming tiresome, why won`t you simply agree to disagree.

I see it in the Fail, Hardly surprising they got something wrong - several things in fact.

As you may have gathered, I'n ot a LH fanboy. Perhaps you are

So why print the article now when it say`s Last months ruling.

Happy to agree to disagree on this.

The ruling on the appeal by Lewis Hamilton's company was handed down this week. The original ruling was made in February. I can see no reference to 'Last Month's ruling' in any of the links provided by me - or in the on from the Fail .

  5. I switched to Sky , which uses the O2 network about 18 months ago. Found them to have far better coverage than EE - and not just on the Broads.  My wife is still with them and struggles to get a signal in the centre of Norwich !

I pay £17 monthly inc VAT - that also includes the 'phone.

Hamilton International, part of the Swatch Group, provided evidence that they have been selling watches bearing the name since 1892.

Sums up his personality for me . Clearly suffering from a severe dose of helioproctosis !

Why didn't they countersue and insist Hamilton changed his racing name!!

PW - I like the Beccles picture as ,of course, it shows a Thames Barge. Cambria use to trade up these rivers now and then but on closer inspection, it doesn't seem to be her! She was of course, steel and usually painted grey and if I recall correctly, she had a "shellback" wheelhouse that has neither. Shame we cannot ID that!

I think he may have been a grandson, or fairly closely associated with the Everard family, but Alan Everard is an excellent painter of Thames barges. Like Norfolk Wherries they are quite difficult to get "right" but he can - one adorns one of my walls I am pleased to say!

She was and still is wooden .   https://maritimeheritage.org.uk/component/zoo/item/cambria-trust

Are these requirements due to EU doctrines ?

There seems to be nationwide a rush to fulfil all these EU rules and regulations before the January deadline when we won’t need to follow them anymore ?

    :34_rolling_eyes:

Another matter which, like straight bananas has nothing to do with the EU, and never die !

Rather it arose from The Lib Con coalition, about which I will hold my tongue !

I particularly like the last paragraph. I would go slightly further and say that whilst I also wouldn't pursue a refund from my marina for the time that I couldn't access the boat, it is also probably about time that marinas stop acting as surrogate enforcement agencies, especially when as has been demonstrated on various threads on this forum, the legislation is complex and far from clear for the laymen.

Marinas should trust their paying clients to act within the confines of the law at the time and allow access to their clients boats, relying on their clients to abide by all the restrictions in place at the time. During the early stages of the first lock down day boating was plainly not allowed and marinas were told to close.

This time around the National restrictions are different and continuing to refuse access to boats is a restriction over and above that required by law, that in my opinion is a totally different case to the first lock down.

Many seem entirely unable to get their heads around the fact that this is not 'lockdown 1' , and that the regulations differ in many respects.  If you wish to adhere to the rules that han ofer ftom the firts time, then that's up to you, but be aware that you may be wrong in what you claim to be the current situation.
