Just heard from Aunty Pat that they have arrived safely and will be posted tomorrow.
Still time to get one in time for Christmas if you have not yet ordered one.
-
Thanks for sharing Alan. All the best for tomorrow.

Silly name calling really does undermine any reasoned argument/discussion. Can we please stop it.

Warm welcome from me as well.

Deepest condolences to you and Family Alan.

And very close to where a plane crashed on the motorway many years ago if memory serves me rightly.
You do, we were living in Derby at the time, quite a shock.

I think the front cover is targeted at a particular audience! If you don’t like it..... it might not be aimed at you.

John is referring to the Guidelines, As I have not yet read all of this thread I am not sure why. Please report anything you feel is inappropriate John.

This is interesting to read. The same scenario is happening everywhere. There was a trend to put out to bid lots of contracts by consecutive Governments. Segregate off parts of the NHS into trusts for example. each one bids and usually underestimates the cost of providing the contracted services which is also usually has the requirements badly captured. In doing so the then cut services where ever possible whilst maintaining those that are officially metricated and monitored. The spiral then continues the next time the contract is up for rebidding. The outcome is the focus on clearing people off the waiting list that is monitored and onto another that is not or even just taken off completely with a review in so many months.
Staff that joined the NHS to treat people are totally disillusioned, nurses do not get any time to spend with patients other than the bare minimum.

I think I do upyour 45 method. Drive close to the side of the empty slot, at the right time turn away from the slot leaving the rear of the car positions so that I can then reverse in turning the wheel to line it up. When lined up reverse in. I always use the mirrors rather than lean over and look out of the back window. As Peter said if you need to drive out of the slot to line it up more centrally do so and reverse back in.

Ok, I freely admit to doing this too. I also use the imaginary passenger side brake when i feel we should be braking sooner!
My Sara does that too. I tell her to get her foot off the brake. After many years of marriage it does tend to turn into background noise.

Should have taken the car. Forklifts rarely get over 45 even when the weather is good!
The whole world loves a Smart Bottom. Still chuckling at this one Dave

Used to be my favourite chocolate bar, until they stopped putting as many hazelnuts in.

My son borrowed my automatic yesterday for the weekend..... when I got it he called it a go cart! I had to go from North Hampshire to Borehamwood to see CIN. M25 was solid from M3 to A1 and I was in my wife’s manual car. Never again, bring back my go cart.
My go cart has working indicators. My wife does say I will have to give the BMW back as I keep using them. What I cannot understand is why standards are slipping and the authorities are letting other makes of car use my BMW lane on the Motorway.

I'll be really interested to see Mayfair up close. I was seriously considering hiring it this year because it looks such good value.
I will take bookings for tours nearer the date. :)

There has been some discussion, but getting quality products for the right price can be difficult. If anyone is interested or has any ideas please let us know.
