  1. All stock now with new person in charge of shop. They are back on Saturday and have the list of those ordered. Should not be too long.

Big thanks to Charlie for all of the hard work he carried out for us and hope he is well.

  2. A man who was traveling came upon a farmer working in his field and asked him what the people in the next village were like. The farmer asked "What were the people like in the last village you visited?" The man responded "They were kind, friendly, generous, great people." "You'll find the people in the next village are the same," said the farmer.

Another man who was traveling to the same village came up to the same farmer somewhat later and asked him what the people in the next village were like. Again the farmer asked "What were the people like in the last village you visited?" The second man responded, "They were rude, unfriendly, dishonest people." "You'll find the people in the next village are the same," said the farmer.

No Ian, Dorchester is well west of us. We`re in EAST Dorset, about 7-8 miles North of Bournemouth, and about 2 miles inside the county line between Hampshire and Dorset.  Things changed a long time before i moved down here with boundry changes etc, as Bournemouth used to be in Hampshire.

Sorry your post said 34 miles west of Ringwood. Confused by the EastDorset statement when 34 miles west.makes sense now.

No wish to wee-wee on anyone's parade here but a few words of realism on this one. Over the years I have met a number of incomers and whilst its worked well  for many, Hylander for example, it has been a cause of regret for others. The two commonest comments have been in being cut off from family & friends. Secondly the grim realization that winters are very different to the idyllic Broads summers. As one man commented, if he'd visited the area during the winter then he'd never have made the move. He now feels trapped, now unable to afford to return to what he still considers as home. I once did it the other way, moved from here to London for my ideal job, I absolutely hated it! I was just so glad to come home!

Right, that's got over being a miserable old sod, get it right and as many others will tell you, you'll have absolutely no reason to regret your move. Success is all down to you though!

    Wise word you MOS :default_coat:
