pks1702
Clearance will depend on how much rain we have had and general weather and atmospheric conditions. This is a useful link http://www.thegreenbook.org.uk/home/bridges.asp
NorfolkNog
Hi Andy Been through Beccles Old bridge numerous times as the Locks is one of my favourites too!! Clearance at average high tide is only about 6 foot eight inches but the rise and fall of the tide is around 2 feet so you should have a very good chance 2 or 3 hours before or after high tide. I doubt if Suncharm needs more than 7 feet so unless it rains cats and dogs you should be OK. This site is very good for tide tables and is approved by the management. http://www.norfolk-broads.org/tides/broadstides.asp Here’s a pic of us going through in May. Plenty of room!! Have a good one!
