The Sally Marie’s Maiden Voyage

It was a very exciting day,

For my husband and for me.

We were finally ready to set sail,

On the beautiful Sally Marie.

 

The weather was glorious with a gentle breeze,

The sun was shining bright.

The birds were singing, ducks were quacking,

Everything was just right.

 

The reeds at the edge of the water waved,

As the Sally Marie proudly went to by,

Welcomed by the Norfolk Broads,

She held her head up high.

 

 

Whilst the elegnt boat was enjoying her trip, 

I was ecstatic too,

Taking in the beautiful wildlife,

And the the breathtaking picturesque view.

 

There’s something calming about the Norfolk Broads,

So peaceful and sublime

My worries slowly disappeared,

I had such a relaxing time.

 

We moored for the evening,

And cooked our first dinner.

Lasagne and garlic bread,

Definitely a winner!

 

We went for a stroll

As the sun began to set.

Such a wonderful evening,

One we’ll never forget.

 

I smiled at my husband,

And we both had to agree.

We can’t wait for many more adventures, 

On the Sally Marie!
