chrisdobson45
I've found this website fascinating. I'm sure there's other ways of comparing maps and aerial photography but this is a very powerful tool. I've wasted spent a few afternoons browsing whilst on Zoom meetings.... https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=15&lat=53.25126&lon=-1.42649&layers=168&right=Rmapboxsatellite

floydraser
Well I never! I've been using that site for ages and never spotted the side by side option. I always used the overlay version: https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=5&lat=56.00000&lon=-4.00000&layers=1&b=

Been using the overlays and the spyglass feature for ages but had never discovered the side by side option.
MaceSwinger
What a handy tool, and definitely great for wasting my evenings when I'm stuck back on camp from next week. Would have been useful this morning when I was tracing the old route for Yarmouth Beach station and where the old third bridge over the Bure was! There's a thread on here (I think) with some photos of the old railways around Yarmouth. Hopefully someone with a better memory than me will be along with a link.
