JP
Hello all, Does anybody know much about Gardner engines? We have barge fitted with a lovely old Gardner 4LW. Boat new to us this summer but now it's getting colder it's a job to get it started. Does anyone know a way of solving this as well as any other expertise and advice regarding said lump of an engine? , John
pks1702
From all I hear they are not modern by current standards but pretty bullet proof and slow revving. Some information in the following links which might be of some small help. http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index. ... opic=18349 http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=210981
quo vadis
Its been a long time since I've done any Gardening, but as I recall there is a cold start button on the fuel pump which needs to be pressed to allow excess fuel for starting in cold weather. Hope this helps. Bob
