HardleyDistant
Hi All I’m just after some advice around watching the Powerboat Racing from our Hire Boat in July this year as despite being Broads veterans by now we have never watched the Racing before. Is there a time cut-off for entering the Broad before the Racing starts? There is no racing on the Thursday evening we are there but we are looking at the Sunday 12:00pm racing slot but we assume at some point navigation will be suspended and we would need to get to a pre booked mooring much earlier? Any other advice on the best viewing spots would be appreciated - I believe there are Pubs that also have moorings in addition to the Yacht Station. Cheers
BrundallNavy
You can still transit the broad but need to keep to the edge and follow the rescue boat directions.
Robin
Hi The weekend you have chosen is the world OSY championship and is held over two days, the start jetty will be adjacent to the park just in front of the yacht station which would be a good place to enjoy the racing. if you moor in the Yacht station you can walk through the park to the pits and have a close look at the boats. they are a very friendly bunch.
