bignig
Hi all, Hope someone can help me. I will be staying at a lodge on the Herbert Woods marina at Potter Heigham in a couple of weeks time and I am hoping someone can give me some tips on best baits or tactics at the moment. I would like to target roach and perch as I'm assuming pike wont really venture into the marina. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. ranworthbreeze
Hello Bignig, Welcome to the forum from Tan & myself, so I can't help on the fishing other than suggesting that you should hire a day boat and try fishing above the bridges. Guest
Hi bignig. ... don't be fooled there are pike in the marina mostly smallish but there are a few lumps that lurk around in there. Don't know what bungalow/lodge you are staying in but if you are staying at one of the inner marina ones you will be able to target the roach, bream and perch with great ease. We fish mainly bread and corn bait for roach with some nice big bream mainly after dark. For perch either big fat worms or red maggot and even dead bait set out for pine will catch them upto 4 lb. Good luck and enjoy.....
