ranworthbreeze
A friend of mine sent me the clip belowSubject: BoeingHere's a 3 min. video that's simply amazing! This video is one of the assembly line at Boeing in Charleston SC .The amazing thing about the building is there are no uprights supporting the roof.6 planes in various stages of completion are under the one roof. When completed the plane is towed to the paint shop.Boeing has a runway that connects with the Charleston airport. It is from here that the planes are delivered to customers. The 1,000th order was placed by Etihad Arways Nov 13 2013. The fuselage plant constructs 2 carbon fiber fuselages ata time not far from the main assembly plant.Click on: https://www.youtube.com/embed/SE71NJl-naY?autoplay=1RegardsAlan
SPEEDTRIPLE
Thanks for that Allan, it takes me back to when i worked for a company called "Avia" being a UK branch of the Icelandic airline "Air Atlanta", working at Manston airport (soon to be a new housing estate etc), where we carried out cabin refurb / reconfigurations. Sadly the plans we worked on were some of the oldest in the fleet, and were not in the cleanest condition.
