Reminds me of an overheard conversation in the butchers shop in Ludham, between an elderly Norfolk couple.

 

She: "What are you going to do for the rest of the day?"

He: "Nothing much."

She: "You did nothing much yesterday."

He: "I know, but I haven't finished yet."

Bobdog, they may have been the couple from a Norfolk shoe repairers:

 

Guy found a ticket from when he left shoes in a Norfolk repairers 7 years previously. As he was going that way, he thought he would pop in on the off chance they would still have them.

He went in  produced the ticket and made his enquiry,

The assistant asked him to wait a moment whilst he checked.

The assistant returned, and said: "They'll be ready next Friday".
