Any good for the holiday fisherpersons?

There is a float rod as well which might suit.

The carp rod would do for pike fishing but that's not really a beginners sport so don't do it!!!!

Other bits might help the beginner though iain.

The landing net is a good buy! Had a couple already.

Not really Gramps, it's a carp rod and reel, much too heavy and totally the wrong action for general coarse fishing.

No I disagree Dave there are several items of fishing tackle in the link many are ideal for the novice or first timer the float rod and landing net (A MOST ESSENTIAL ITEM ) to name but two

The umbrella looks a good deal alone considering lathams ones are double that.. and with this poxy rain it will be a good idea.. Have to try to grab one. Aldi is a pain though.. they never have these bits on the shelves
