just a couple of things ......

would it be possible to have a highlighted add for the calendar pictures voting thread at the top with the announcements ?

my thinking on this is that the thread is dropping down the page and because its not open ... I guess it wont get noticed soon even if its pinned.

is there a closing date for voting ?

Just noticed Jills post has changed as well.....

  2. we had a good night on halloween...

    All sweets ready..

My daughter (has done the trick or treat in her younger days) ready to answer the door with sweets in hand...

    first knock on door...

    trick or treat.... was said...

    she said .... TRICK.....

The little lad of about 5 years old said....

Sod ( I am sure he didn't swear) that... can I have the Porsche as a treat instead..

I was listening, and thought, good one mate....

My little (17 year old) girl said .........

Yes .... I'll get the keys

    the lads eyes lit up......

I had to explain to him that she was tricking him.... have a KitKat instead

I don't know who was more upset, the little lad or his mum...

  3. just a thought............

Hire craft can't cruise after dark because they are not fitted with navigation lights (I believe that is the only reason, could be wrong though)

So, what if...... I get a portable green light, a red light and a couple of white lights and put them on the roof (hopefully in the right position) ....................

Then the boat will have navigation lights

As I said just a thought...

  4. The thing that really gets me is when you ask a question and the person starts their answer with,

    I would OF ........... I should OF.........

Was it Mrs Hind that did the recorder group? I've still got all my recorders in the cupboard Geoff!

    yes.......

Your memory is better than mine...I need prompting to remember names...

I mentioned the other post to my lad, and told him that you knew pete and nigel, he said that I should know all about my school days, then disappeared to his room to bring me ALL of my school reports....

He had forgot to tell me, my mum, (his nan) had given them to him to give to me a few weeks ago...

He called me a geek... (the little (^&*&^)

Our guest tonight is Felicity Baumflaugh here to talk about her mail order bride business. In her spare time Felicity trains homing puffins and is currently the Norfolk County Extreme Ironing Champion.

    Dear Felicity,

If I order a bride, can you guarantee that she will be trained by you so that she can iron my jeans and put a crease right down the middle.

ps... will she arrive by Puffin, or will I have to pick her up from the train station...

More tears from me and Mrs DG as we clean her bowl...

But now she will be with her best mate, he has been waiting for four years for them to be back together...

But today at 6:15pm she started another journey....

I hope she has good tides and a fair wind....

16 years of putting up with me, it can only get better for my Lady....

    RIP girl.........

    Donnygeoff,

A glider is safer that a powered aircraft … If you don’t have an engine then it cannot fail!

That's the same as saying wearing a parachute is a waste of time, as if you don't have one it cannot fail to open....

  12. Hi Howard,

I agree that the garden is nice, but not as nice as it once was, without the fencing.

I also think the view has been spoilt a little with the resident boats moored.

Having said that it is still one of my favourite pubs on the Broads

    Still

I have no idea who owns the cat, the neighbours don't know either, so I'm hurtling towards a bit of a dilemma

OK, This is what you need to do.......

Kidnap the cat (I was going to say catnap, but nearly dozed off), keep it locked in a room for about a week.

After this week, take a walk around the local area to see if someone has stuck a missing cat notice on a lamp post..

    Owner found.....:naughty:

    :Stinky

you could be lucky and they will be offering a reward...:naughty::naughty:
