Thanks, Alan.
Yes, I guess I could post a typical 'my day' on life with a new knee joint, couldn't I?

WOW, Alan, well done!
And how much would that have cost at the main dealers, I wonder?

Sorry but I cannot see how this idea will work in tidal waters even on the Northern Broads, that's why I suggested a pasarelle.
2 suggestions ( we don't want you both to go )
1 get in touch with the Nancy Oldfield Trust for advice.
2 consider one of those hoists that lift wheelchairs into the back of cars etc.
Another thought make/get made a form of gangplank with hand rails.

The Nancy Oldfield Trust is a very good idea, Paul.

I suspect that the BA is concerned that some could use adjacent waters exemption to avoid paying tolls (not houseboats).
Keep your boat in adjacent waters for most of the year legitimately without a toll being paid, then if you are an infrequent user take a chance at not being caught by the Rangers, if you do then pay the minimum visitor toll period and hope to "escape" next time. What is the worst that could happen; you get caught enough times so that you have used up the 28 days visitor toll that you have buy a full year toll, but the cost of the temporary tolls is deducted from the annual toll, so actually nothing lost
I think that "What is the worse that could happen" might be a complete ban on the third time.
I'm sure that the BA wouldn't let one get away with it more than that.

Have a Great Time, Jay!

There was a very good chippy just across the road last time I went - its even named after me:- the inner harbour is to the left (you can just see the masts).
Peter, hi
That was our favourite fish shop when I was training new pilots at RAF Manston, sorry, KIA, Kent Internation Airport, sorry, London East.......
What the locals thought when I did a 500ft agl circuit and turned Finals inside the town I don't know but the SATCO, who was on board, was jumping about on the Flight Deck in excitement (this was a 100+ ton aeroplane with a 156ft wingspan).
Sorry too OT, Robin.............
(I shall be following you from my hospital bed here in Norwich).

Which was how I made my first flying model Spitfire... with parachute silk!
She was immensely strong and even survived a hand launch by my then wife who threw her nigh on vertically with the ED Racer screaming at max revs. I had no hope of controlling her, threw down the controller as she homed in on me and legged it exit left.

A warm welcome aboard the good ship NBN from us, Bill.

Quite so on the unsteady future.
I was forever wondering if the Woods End would be open, let alone who might be managing it if it was.

Speaking of which, it would appear it is still up for sale sadly.

I first spoke with Lee just before he opened and he was quite clear about his intentions then and selling up early didn't come into the equation. I can now see that EastCoastIPA's words above make good sense but it does go on to say that ill-health is the reason for sale.

Words fail me at just what you've taken on, Robin, and how you so calmly get on with it all!
And what a wonderful crew you've taken on!

What a super video, Lord Paul, so many thanks.
Just shows you the problems of arriving in Gorleston and the sheer relief as you turn starboard down the Yare!
Bill, I just asked on the NBN FB pages if anyone has any news.
