Tolls

As far as I know the very same applies even if you remove your boat to another waterway or scrap it! It would be refreshing to be corrected?

Whilst I am no longer part of the boating fraternity having sold my shares in MS. I can see that renewing at anytime during the year and only paying for part of the year depending on when you buy your boat could be very popular.

This would be the fairest move of all.

Now that is what I call a proper organ! Love the sound they make.

And I seem to hear it as "Parrrtrum"!

How about the Freeman 22?
I suspect the Freeman will fall into the same sort of classification as Dawncraft and Normans as a classic of the rivers and canals, especially at entry level Vaughan. Some Normans/Callumcraft are now 60 years old!

Nice boat but I think I might be just a tad disappointed to find the rather primitive flavel two burner on a boat for that sort of money!

My brother had a 2.2 litre Firenza sport with twin carbs. For the time it was frighteningly rapid and I was always relieved to survive the journeys! Lovely looking coupe though and was marvelled at because it had six or seven dials on the dash!

The one thing I lament the loss of, artery's allowing, is proper fried bread! Fried in the bacon fat and then the egg on top of that! Afraid toast is not the same at all.

Is that the one at the entrance to Brundall gardens marina?. We`ve been in there for an evening meal which was excellent. They also do breakfast.
Suspect you mean "Brundall Bay Marina", not much scope for that sort of thing at the entrance to Brundall Gardens!

Also I am sure Sonia opened for beakfasts last year at Surlingham. I would be surprised if this didn't happen this year as well.

Further talking about the BMW, something I've been meaning to ask
Hope you have requested the indicators option!

Was the only pub/bar on the Broads where I could get both a beer and some Alex Harvey!

They did indeed Howard in a shed attached to the side. I recall a "heavy but gentle" night!

Hmmm, I wonder which one you have in mind Howard?

I'd like those bangers a few shades darker!
I used to love it when all bangers leaked at each end resulting in a lovely crunchy lump on both ends!

As I recall, it was up for sale for quite some time at a hefty price. What many are avoiding is the effect this sort of seasonal business has on the local community. I have already pointed out that a Post Office/general store that existed previously sited further into the village was likely forced to close because of the six months of the year that this shop was open and deprived the P.O. of trade at the busiest time of the year.
However, I will always wish those retiring best wishes and a happy retirement. Just the circumstances that grate with me.

Halfords bulb replacement is a nightmare. On my Touareg they didn't have a clue how to do it, one and a half hours, 3 people and a broken clip later they looked in the handbook and then googled it. After all that they didn't have the right bulbs. Complete muppets.
Ditto, when I took my Octavia for a front indicator bulb they said they had to remove the whole front bumper assembly and that labour was chargeable! I bought just the bulb and had a quick look at the handbook and discovered a lever that clearly Halfords were unaware of that allowed the whole lighting unit to slide out and replacement of the bulb was a doddle!

Shame about the loss of the post office as it also sold other daily needs. However, good news to see this open.

It's a shame to see these local village shops close as the locals who do not drive need them, and with many of the local bus services being axed it only makes things worse. Perhaps part of the problem was it only opened for the main 6 months of the season and was perhaps not seen as a locals resource but a tourist resource?
Reflects my own feelings on this. I can remember when there was a Post Office/Store further into the village, way across the other side of the green. I used to purposely use this as this was the village shop and not an establishment that opened for 6 months of the year. I actually talked to the folk in this Post Office about this very subject and, even then, they feared that they would not survive because of the loss of trade in those months. How true this was. Now there is nothing.

but to the village, and the surrounding area too.
Even though it was only open for six months of the year?? Something tells me that this six months were not to serve the residents of the village! Sorry, but I do get a bee in my bonnet with this sort of exploitation.
