  1. We've been stumping people with this one for some time on our facebook page.

The first person to tell us where this is will get a 20% discount voucher against a Freedom holiday.

Is it under the Yare up river from the Haven Bridge. From the car park of Havenbridge House to Shipleys Veterinary Practise that was. I had in fact walked it as a sprog but was s**t  scared of being found out.

  2. I think you'll find that the white storks are little egrets . They are becoming fairly common. I've seen them near the location given, on Breydon Water and along the Ant.

Sorry but you're on the wrong track. They (Egrets) are plentiful around the Southern side, but NO these were White Storks that we saw and so I Goggled it and found another person had seen them in the same area albeit by road.

  3. Don't know about Bitterns but on a rare jaunt up "The Dark Side" over the weekend, on our return coming down the Bure just near "Six Mile Cottage we saw two White Storks and whilst we had loads of picture taking devices on board we also had a fast running tide up our chuff and couldn't get any piccies. Doh!

  4. Hello young Donald. (hows Geoff by the way?) I've been whacked loads of times I seem to bounce out of the way when it happens. I thought it was part and parcel of the the whole scheme of this boating mullarky! Just a roll of the eyes to the offender is enough to make them say sorry. But what I will say is that the majority of personages that do said cuffing are OWNERS who seem to think they can get their craft into gaps that a hirer would be too scared to attempt! two guns

  5. Could i just say that it could be down to the phone build/manufacturer as well. I have an old Nokia flip phone and can get good coverage anywhere. St. Olaves where we moor all the rest say "Wombat let me borrow your phone" even though some of them are on the same network. I also get coverage down in the cabin if moored at Loddon where no one else's phone even rings whether or not they stand with their arms outstretched outside the canopies. I am on vodafone no probs anywhere!

  6. It looks like a Transducer of some sort, but the plug baffles me. Very similar to a TV coax plug. Possibly a fish finder? But anyway the fitting its in looks like an ordinary kitchen sink waste. I personally would remove this and either bung the hole properly or at least replace the skin fitting. I have a similar Transducer in my hull which is what they call a "Through Hull" meaning it doesn't need a hole cut, it will penetrate through the hull. You'll get loads of chaps far brainier than us let you know soon, Good luck!
