  1. I've never come across a sailing boat that can sail on the main rivers, that can't get under Potter, you can always take the mast down. There will besome that can't get past the bridge not because the bridge is too low, But because the water isn't deep  enough, tide permitting you can stand on the bottom under the bridge it's only about 4 ft deep.
This picture fairly well shows the depth of the  river, it's more shallow and a harder bottom under the bridge.

Are there any descendants of the driver willing to take down the rest?

Used it for a season with it in a different position but the boats that small we had to walk sideways past it. cost £399.00 (bought local) looking for £200.00. receipts available and possible delivery around the broads.

Please try PARTMASTER it stocks everything for every electrical item. Part of the Currys group. We’ve used them for years. Good luck.

  4. Back home now so able to check
The new Broads plan issued in May 2019 as a specific policy for dealing with Public Houses
SSPUBS it can be found on page 209 of the document which is on the BA website
It seeks to protect virtually all the broads pubs including The Yare being to turned into homes or other commercial use
It states " Public houses will be protected in their Public house use as key parts of community visitor and boating facilities as well as for their individual contribution to such facilities"
Indeed here in Kent an application to turn a pub into house as been refused this week on the basis of the loss of a community asset
    Ray

That happened a couple of years ago to the Queens Head Burgh Castle. So he kept the pub and built four houses in the car park.

  5. Few years ago we joined the queue and inched forward slowly. Possibly 20 minutes. Getting ever more hungry. Then finally the person in front ordered theirs when the reply came, “ sorry that’s it. We’ve run out” and there were people behind us too. We all left some shouting abuse etc I muttered something about getting a visit from mr. spank. Walked down to the kebab house and had the best one ever. Needless to say we never went back to the chippy.

  6. Great pictures as always JF :default_icon_clap:
However I am confused (no change there then) why does it take 40 minutes to get from the Wherry Hotel to the Commodore?

Keep up noggin. He was moored at oulton dyke. ♂️
