  1. I want to go through my boat and paint some floor panels and under floor storage areas with some grey paint, most of my underfloor areas are a light battle ship grey that seems to have soaked into the wood rather than put a surface on it. What product would be best used for this? Is it just a primer? I am having trouble finding the right colour in a primer, I have used an International Grey Wood Primer elsewhere but its a bit lighter, Anyway any advice as always will be muchly appreciated!
  2. Its all gobbledegook to me, but could well explain the overall problem
  3. On off on off, i know teething troubles are common when doing something a new way but this isnt setting a good image for whoever the hosting company is. Or could this be the legacy of the site owner using his own code as I have read?
  4. I need to do some grovelling I think. An immersion is an easy Job for me aslong the tank will take one, I enjoy tinkering and improving upgrading as I go along so it would be ideal for me. Exterior and underwater condition is what I am most concerned about and wether the windows leak when it rains. Its a nuisance if they do. Everything else is within my capabilities in time.
  5. Having never been onboard either, on paper the layout looks fairly decent, I have children so the aft cabins would be ideal for them. That aside I am thinking more of using one of the rooms to store all your gear, fishing tackle, tools coats shoes etc, it could be all organised tidy with racks for rods etc. (im a bit OCD lol) a full re-upholster on the one the NYA are selling and in my view you would have a very comfortable boat. A bit of tidying Jobs here and there and I think it would be great, that is.....providing it is totally dry from above to begin with. My current boat has a rather large canopy on top which is where all the gear gets stored when we are onboard, its good but not ideal for the broads, a lower overall airdraft would be better !
  6. I may be a little stupid, but I would be interested in having one of them, just not at those prices!! Especially with painted hulls etc but interior space wise they have much potential!
  7. Incredible difference in asking price between the 2 Kingfishers! I know one looks better than the other but £30050 difference?? The sums are not adding up!
  8. I know NYA has one but who is marketing the other?
  9. I thought legionella could only develop in tanks made from a certain material?
  10. Maybe its just me but I quite like the Kingfisher boat, hasnt that one recently come of hire? Hence the reason for sale?
  11. Does it help making sure the closed water circuit contains antifreeze and the raw water side is flushed through with seasafe antifreeze after closing the seacock when leaving the boat in the water.
  12. Just a thought, does anybody know if topliners are doing any moorings? I noticed a boat out of the water on there yard today as a drove through oulton broad on way to post office.
  13. Hi Frank Thats interesting what sort of problem did you have?
  14. Thanks for that Alan will put something on there and see if I get any joy.
  15. Hi all Do any members here have a mooring at the Broadland Holiday Village, or can anybody give me any insight into how I might apply for one for next season. I have sent a few emails, the first time being told my boat was to big, when on passing there are boats bigger than mine there, since which they have just ignored my asking to be put on any waiting list should space arise. Moorings are so limited in this area I really wish there was more available. Any advice would be very helpful.
  16. I use myhermes a lot , and have never had an issue with them. I also use parcel monkey for larger items, again fair prices and not had a problem!
  17. Hi peter, how big is your battery bank? I have considered replacing our existing isotherm fridge with a domestic type when the time comes. For example I have 2 12v 110 amp hr for my domestics, how long am I likely to get before a system like yours drains the batteries completley!
  18. I would rather have a bit more power than I need, I have a 37ft aquafibre with a Nanni 50hp and to be honest Id rather have the 5 cylinder engine mentioned here.
  19. Got just the thing I had in mind second hand from Boulter Marine!! Excellent Service!
  20. Uhoh sounds a long and painful Job to me!
  21. Hi Jason and thanks for that, i will google that part number and see what I can find! I knew you would know lol!
  22. I have trawled ebay but in your search text one for an LDV Maxus came up which i hadnt seen before, size wise and mountings look perfect but it has 2 pipes coming out of bottom?? I only need one! What do I do with the other? And I presume the top outlet is the overflow!
