  1. First things first you are and old git but your right to be pi...ed off I think the marina should be taking responsibilty for these accidents by employing a person to controll the movment of the boats alittle better. But the problem is, you more your boat in a public marina as I did last year and got hit regularly with sometimes quite a bit of cosmetic damage. I think people have very very little training and are then let go to there own devices and when they crash into thinks some!!!! of them feel no responsibiliy and maybe even a bit of they can afford to fix it as they have a big boat not realising that some of us are just normal working class people with a passion for all things boats whom spend every last penny on there pride and joys. So I would highly recomend moving your pride and joy to a private more secure marina Barry
  2. Great pics mate and it was a fun two weeks

    For Osprey

Thats great mate. bet your well chuffed.
  5. If we carry two knots of tide i cant do 13 knots through the water i think that will be on the hump and pushing way to much water out of the way.
  6. Hi Ian I have done some digging around on my fuel consumtion figures. 20 knots 1mpg from owners own calculations and more than one and i have tested at 1.1 mpg at 16.5 knots Jonathan wants to do around 16 knots i think and wayne wants to go the same as the agreed speed. We are planning the routes at 15 knot average so that will be no more that 17 knots with a bit of tide. can you get down to that sort of speed? Barry
  7. No its 6mph which is correct on oulton
  8. Thinking about it i cant see portsmouth in there
  9. i am using my i phone so im ok lol. Trip looks good to me. At last or maybe not we will see
  10. hi people out of the whole trip I have asked to visit one place and the rest I dont mind and the place is Brightlingsea, so if you could include it some how that will be nice.
  11. OK Shall we agree on 1st night limehouse as this helps with timings, tides etc.? Then crews can choose how much time to spend at each marina . Barry
  12. That looks right but mine are water injected as well, what do you think to them ?
  13. I must be looking at the wrong place as the lime house im looking at is 1.9 miles by road to st kats so can someone tell me where limehouse is if its so far away as you cant get to any atractions
  14. not quite I will take a picture next time im there. the little oil tank has a feed out from the bottom and then into the seal at the engine end then a return into the top of the oil tank
  15. Unfortunatly on a turbo 36 the starboard shaft exits the boat under the shower tray so is an absolute pig to get to so this could well be the propblem. how do you aline it ?
  16. Hi my turbo 36 has an oil leek on one of the deep sea seals. The story the WRC took the shaft out of the boat to do some work and since refitting it i have lost oil from the oil tank. Of corse when I went back to them they said it must be a bit worn and dont worry just put a greaser on it instead?. my seals are oil and water injectinn fed but the oil part is leaking into the bilge so does anyone know if fitting a greaser like the WRC engineer suggested will work or not as we have a big trip coming up but i dont want to lift out till the winter unless I have too. Barry
  17. Hi A shetland 4+2 or a 27 would make a great river boat and are tough boats ive had them before and if you want you can even pop out to sea. The shetland 570 was a offshore racer years back
  18. Hi Ian you seem to be getting a bit deep with this mate and after all it is just another stop put into the the pot so dont worry about it to much mate. I think the spirit of the trip was that a lot of boats are cruising together (apart from speed as some will be 16 knots and others 20 and Ian 35) so a split trip should be avoided if poss in my opinion. Can I suggest 2 nights limehouse which from what i have reserched is a very quite area around the marina, then on to st kats for 2 nights then everyones a winner.
  19. 25 miles used 22.656 gallons = 1.103 mpg
  20. To be fair I dont think he brimmed his boat and he came back at 18 knots to the other two doing 16.5 knots
  21. Should we post the fuel consumtion figures We had a great week and would like to thank everyone for making it enjoyable. sorry for the hold up at southwold . Ok the fuel consumtion. 1st Osprey 1.18 mpg 2nd Crackerjack 0.97 mpg 3rd Catakalouse 0.78 mpg
